Work Starts Here.
In Yoga, the work is often seen from the growth physically, and as people begin to notice you going deeper into a pose, being more flexible, or having stronger muscles, the ego gains a stronger sense of identity with the Self.
In Yoga Philosophy, the sutras teach us that the ego and the self a separate, as is the mind, and the true aim is not growth that’s seen from the outside, but the path to spiritual development that resides on the inside.
As athletes, active people, or avid practitioners of asana, we collectively understand that the mind and body are tools to help us stay on the path. If one can become aware of the work but separate from the result (fruits of action), then that person is speeding up towards enlightenment through the concept of Aparigraha or Non-Attachment
How do you use your body to gain spiritual development and in what ways do you discover the work that needs to be done within?
