Is life really supposed to be fair???

We lost our Macy Gray this week. She passed in Joseph’s arms, it was tragic.

I was at the Georgia State Capitol and I asked Joseph to take Macy to vet, she had not been acting normal lately. He went to the Vet we usually go to but they were closed- the entire office is on a work trip, a company cruise. She was slipping away as he was driving. He called me screaming and crying, I could barely make out what he was saying. There’s an emergency vet across the street from our regular vet, he drove there but it was too late.

I drove from Atlanta straight to Jasper (Vet) and loved on Joseph, I was scheduled to speak at 6 in Jonesboro, Ga. Which was 2 hours away. We headed back down 575 headed to Jonesboro and of course we were stuck behind a roofing truck whose mascot is an english bulldog puppy. Roof Roof. That was tough. Joe looked out the window and cried.

After my meeting, we went to dinner to try and take his mind off of everything, note to self- check calendar of events next time, apparently it was $1. shots, karoke & hooka night on Tara Blvd. They got his order wrong and gave him a big hug and a free slice of cheesecake.

Macy was a rescue.

She was a free FB post and so so so loved. I don’t know how long you’re not supposed to cry after losing a dog. She was much more than just a dog. She was family.

They told us she was born on 9/11 and like Victoria she smelled her food before she ate it. I’ve never seen a dog do that, they just eat. Macy went everywhere with us. The lady at the bank loved her. The Walgreens pharmacist alway come to the window to bark at her. She’s been to the beach, a baseball stadium in Alabama.

Last week, I was laughing because she had a doggie bagel from Einstein’s then she went to CFA and got a bone in the drive thru. Then she got a pup cup from Starbucks- all in one day.

I don’t know how to make the pain go away.
My heart is hurting. The house is too quiet.
We need another rescue. STAT.

Facebook is funny, I made a post on my personal page about Macy passing and FB sent me a “Congrats your content is gaining traction blah blah blah” Clearly, I am not here for content. That’s not us. At all.

However this page, I received a notification that it’s not being recommended because of the content. Go figure. So if you’re not seeing updates from us. Maybe it’s FB shadow banning because of the “content”

If you know of an English Bulldog that needs to be loved and spoiled, please send them our way. English Bulldog because that breed works well for us, low energy, prone to getting sick, fluffly, loves to eat. That’s us.

If Macy ever bit you, I am sorry, She bit everyone. Jayden showed me the scar on his finger to remember her by. She was an equal opportunity biter.

We all miss her.

Shout out to: Big Sis Kristen, She dropped everything and ran over to the vet, to be with Joe. Also Chip H & The Hearts of Harmony, they left us a sweet card with a Paw print on wood, Of course Joseph took it to his room. We go back to vet this week to pick up her ashes, Joseph wanted to keep them in his room.

Today is the first day of the Legislative session.

For the first time, ALL of the advocates have UNITED for a day at the Capitol.

Victoria was awake at 3 am. Maybe she was excited too.

Please join us and all of the other important advocates at the Georgia State Capitol as we make history together, united as one. Finally.

Unconditional love is selfless, nonjudgmental love with no strings attached, accepting someone for who they are, flaws and all, without expecting anything in return, often seen as parental love but applicable to all relationships, meaning you love the person even when you don't like their actions, creating a foundation of acceptance, support, and safety.

Rep. Michael Smith was eager to hear stories like Victoria’s. He stated coming to the Capitol and sharing personal testimony is what is actually moving the needle forward. He specifically mentioned “70’s Hippies” and how that is NOT successful and does not help move the needle at all. Stagnate.

He mentioned elderly people sharing their story about pain and suffering helps move the needle. Also Veterans need to join the movement.

Tonight, I’ll share her story with many more Legislatures at The Wild Hog Supper.

The first day of session is tomorrow and we have a Press Conf. I was happy to see 1 seizure momma from Elijay, Ga enter back into activism. Yeah Mellisa!

Selfless love really shows up when you have someone whom you love more than yourself.

People have zero and I mean absolutely zero idea about this life.

Even if you have a “relative” with Special needs, unless you help care for the person, 24-7, it’s truly hard to gain an understanding of this life.

Words cannot even describe this life to where you could even begin to understand.

Tonight, in our County, another family is mourning the loss of their loved ones.

This world could use a lot more empathy and alot less greed & selfishness.
