This is what the Regenerative Livelihood Incubator is all about. Creating a new reality that makes the old one obsolete.

Old reality: People working 40 hours or more a week, hardly seeing their kids, or each other, struggling to balance everything and always falling short. Feeling isolated, lonely, and in need of community, a village. Feeling disconnected from what really matters in life.

New reality: Meaningful work that is integrated with the rest of your life and family that builds wealth through all 8 forms of capital so you are truly resilient. Feeling at home and supported in the world and deeply connected to your village, the earth, and natural rhythms.

This is not business as usual. It is not about feeding the capitalist machine. It’s is about creating a new way of living that is more joyful, more fulfilling.

Graysen asked me a really great question the other day...

If someone came to you and said, “I really like what you are doing, I’d like to donate $1 million dollars to you so you can make a bigger impact in the world,” what would you spend it on?

Then answer came to me without hesitation... I would use it to expand the Garden Revolution!

I would create a network of regenerative garden teachers around the world.

I would promote all the amazing benefits of gardening.

I would expand my Regenerative Livelihood Incubator program to help people create lives more connected to natural rhythms and in service to life on this planet!

What would you do?

Happy full moon! This is a wonderful time to look into your life and reconnect with what you are trying to manifest. To see with clarity what is standing in the way of your dreams.

In two weeks, on the new moon, I will be offering a fr*e workshop on Regenerative Life Design over Zoom. This will be a great time to take stock of your life and see what you want to create in 2025!

By the way… I have a teenager now! We celebrated Graysen’s birthday last weekend with a Dungeons and Dragons themed birthday party.

His piñata was so well-built each kid had several turns to whack it!

Killing it this week with homeschool… meditation, salt tasting for our cooking lessons (using the book Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat), and today riding bikes to the coffee shop for some hygge reading time.

I absolutely love having fun with my boys all day long!!

I am not the same person I was a month ago. Those magical 3 weeks on the island with my beloved have changed me.

I feel softer. Sweeter. Like the sun and the warmth of love has melted my heart and opened my mind.

As I go about my regular routines it is like doing them again for the first time. I am considering if these old ways of being are still serving me or if it is time to change things up.

The boys have also changed and the ways we relate are different.

It’s all very subtle. It would be easy to miss. To fall back into our old ways. To assume each other is the same and not allow our own and each other’s growth.

I’m so incredibly grateful for this journey!

I see you there with those amazing gifts to offer the world but instead staying with what is comfortable and easy.

You know you were put here for a reason. You just have to make the leap, take the next step.

I get it. It’s hard. It feels really scary.

I’ve been there.

It’s so much easier to stay small. Stick with what you know, what is safe.

But that is not going to lead to you fulfilling your potential.

It’s time to take the leap.

Don’t get to the end of your life and realize you never really lived.

The next cohort of the Regenerative Livelihood Incubator is starting in January. This group program will help you step with confidence and support into your destiny.

Harvest pizza! Brussels sprouts, leeks, apple, and bacon I just smoked today with homemade sauce and sourdough crust.

Eavesdropping on the boys and their friend discuss how good the potato leek soup is and then bring up the Brussels sprouts I made for a dinner party a month ago!

A garden breakfast. So simple and delicious. I don’t need fancy recipes or grocery shopping… I just cook what I have.

I feel so rich with all the abundance in my life right now. The garden is just the physical manifestation… so much to harvest, so much to savor, so much to share!

The first thing I like to do when I get back from a trip is to cook something!

Filling up the house with delicious smells makes it feel like home.

I have tons of beautiful leeks in the garden so I decided to make one of my favorites, a leek and goat cheese galette.

And since I was making galette dough anyway, and I had baskets of apples from the neighbors, I thought I would make some dessert too!!

It’s good to be home!!

The last time I saw Ellie was 25 years ago when she put me on a train in Sofia, Bulgaria!

We were studying Russian together in St. Petersburg and then traveled around Eastern Europe for several months. What an amazing adventure we had!

During COVID, Ellie was laid off and took my garden course in exchange for helping me move the course over to a new, integrated website. I couldn’t have done it without her!

She turned her small back yard into a thriving oasis that is still pumping out food for her family.

One evening Ellie made a delicious lasagna with her own homemade tomato sauce and tons of other veggies from her garden.

In the mornings I grazed on her strawberries, blackberries, and tomatoes for breakfast!

Full circle. What a delight to be nourished by her garden! What a pleasure to share hugs and laughter again!
