A centrifuge is a machine that spins blood at high speed to separate it into layers. 🩸

The heavy red blood cells move to the bottom, the white cells form a thin middle layer, and the plasma or serum rises to the top.

They come in small tabletop sizes for clinics and labs, all the way up to large floor models used in hospitals and research facilities.
