Today we are bringing our baby home.

After a lot of tears, conversation, and prayer we simply left it up to Tanner.

Bub let us know that he is done with going to treatments and he is ready to come home.

He will be traveling home today and will be staying at momma’s house so he doesn’t have to be moved and can stay comfortable.

Anyone that would like to shower Tanner in love is welcome to, we just ask you let us know beforehand.

Please keep all of us in your prayers. We know God has his hand on Tanner through everything.

Update on our boy 10/29

Yesterday he endured his chemotherapy infusion and then had his radiation immediately after. To say he was done for would be an understatement, considering he slept all day until 10pm, woke up to eat a bite and take some medicine and then was back asleep and slept until 10:30 this morning.

Today, he had radiation treatment number 6 out of 15 and he was joking with all of his nurses, doctor, and child life specialist about wearing his “pjs” to therapy tomorrow.

He’s having some good moments during the day but also a lot of bad moments, so while the good is there we try to take advantage of it and love on him as much as he will allow! If we’re not responding to messages or calls, please know we see them and we feel the love but this time with Tan is very precious to us.

Please continue praying for Tan and us during this difficult time.

Tanner update 10/24

He was transferred out of PICU and to a room on the oncology floor. After radiation today, we should be getting to go to our home away from home. He is doing about the same but they said we could do the same thing at home they are doing in there and if we needed them, we are close by and to come on to the hospital. We are being discharged with hospice, just like we had at home. Continued prayers for him and us as we go through all of this.

Our boy is so strong and smiles through the pain. (Pictures are of him finding out that his newest nephew will be named after him!)

Tanner 10/23 morning update

Yesterday was his first day of photon radiation, he done well with it but his blood pressure was running high and they needed to administer the emergency medicine to bring it down on the transport back to Children’s National. He ended up aspirating on the medication and was brought back to the PICU with lights and sirens. They done an X-ray and everything was clear! He rested for a few hours and then he was ready to eat. He sat up and joked and laughed for bit and was having a great night! So far this morning, he has ate his breakfast and has been aggravating Trav and watching movies.

Transport will be getting him to take him back to Sibley Memorial for his second day of radiation in just a few minutes. Prayers for him to be able to get through this treatment today and get back to Children’s National without any complications. 🩶

We will update more as we know more! Thank you all for the prayers, the support, and the love shown to our boy and us! We love you all and are so appreciative of Team Tanner! 🩶🎗️

Update on Tanner…

We have been admitted to the PICU at Children’s National Hospital.. He has gone unresponsive on us at the hotel and is barely responding to anyone now. We will update as we can..

There’s not much to update of bubba since we left the hospital. He’s done a lot of sleeping and has had family come spend time with him from dad’s side of the family and has some of mom’s side of the family on their way now. We just ask for continued prayers to cover our boy and us.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to help us be able to stay with our boy in DC during this difficult time. We can never thank you all enough.

Tanner busted out of the hospital this evening! We will be living in DC for the next little bit so we can get him the radiation he needs to hopefully give us more time with our handsome man! Please continue praying for him and for all of us! We love you all! 🩶🎗️

After a very scary and rough night, Tanner had a fairly good day. Three of his siblings came for a visit and they all enjoyed being able to be with their brother. It brought him so much joy. 🩶

We were transferred from Children’s National to Sibley Memorial just for his radiation simulation and face mask mold and then brought back to Children’s. We’ve not gotten much of any good news while we’ve been here but we know who the ultimate healer is and that’s the faith we have to hold on to.

We really request your prayers for Tanner for comfort, your prayers for us as his parents as we are having to watch our boy suffer and not be able to do much for him, and pray for his siblings to find comfort in spending time with their brother and as a family. 🩶🎗️

Tanner had an extra special visitor today, Jordan Stout, the punter for the Baltimore Ravens! Jordan took time out of his day to just come be with Tanner and be present and talk with him about any and everything. It definitely made our hearts happy to see our boy smile!

We received some updates today but for right now, I want to share the positive that made our boy’s day! 🩶💜

Tanner update 10/13

We just talked to Dr Hwang and they have him hooked up to the EEG because they think he is having seizures and causing him to just be out of it, tired, and lifeless.

They want to adjust his meds and then they want to do radiation again. They are thinking around 3 weeks of radiation but we know more when we see Dr Ladra. They are hopeful that it will slow the growth but they can’t promise. They don’t know if they have anymore chemo options that they can offer but are still looking. They feel radiation is our last line of defense.

We asked Tanner if he wanted to do the radiation again, because it is his body that had to go through it, and he agreed to do it. Dr Hwang was bery straight forward with us about this diagnosis and feels with radiation we will have longer with our boy.

We ask everyone to be praying for our sweet boy and that his body heals from this. We just want to see our boy better. God promised him that he would be okay and we are holding onto that faith.
