I’m excited to tell you about a new modality that I’ve learned called Active Isolated Stretching.
==>> Results: I’ve been using AIS with clients who are recovering from plantar fasciitis, sciatica, and ankle injuries and it has been awesome to see how they have been able to regain mobility, experience reduction in pain, and get back to their favorite activities.
=> What is Active Isolated Stretching (AIS)?
AIS was developed by Aaron Mattes and is a technique that uses gentle, repeated stretches held for just a few seconds. As an example, by focusing on the small, supportive muscles of the foot and lower leg, AIS helps retrain movement patterns and ease chronic tightness.
==> AIS isn’t just for injuries. It’s also valuable for athletes, people with desk-related stiffness, and anyone wanting to move with greater freedom.
If you’re curious about how Active Isolated Stretching can benefit your body, ask me about adding it to your next session!
