EJYS HOMES For You LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team, particularly encouraging male applicants. Key details include: As a DSP-Caregiver, responsibilities will encompass supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and daily living activities to foster independence, dignity, and quality of life. This role offers learning opportunities, personal care meetings, and more. Additional key responsibilities include providing direct care and support for daily living skills, assisting with community integration and recreational activities, supporting individualized care plans, promoting independence and advocacy, taking vital signs as necessary, and maintaining accurate documentation on the Therap electronic system. Required qualifications include AL MAC certification (with assistance provided for certification), a high school diploma or equivalent, TB skin test, CPR certification, previous caregiving or DSP experience (training will be provided for the right candidates), and the ability to pass a criminal and abuse background check. Ideal candidates will possess patience, strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
