The Jonnycake Center of Westerly is here to help! The government shutdown is creating a lot of uncertainty at the moment and affecting many. As of November 1st, if the shutdown is still ongoing, those who rely on SNAP benefits will not be receiving their assistance.

We understand this is a particularly challenging time due to the upcoming holidays surrounding the purchasing and preparing of food. We want to remind the members of our community that we are here to assist in any way that we can. Pantry access, Thrift Store vouchers, and resources throughout our community are available to our clients. Additionally, our Holiday Program is accepting registrations until Friday, October 31st.

Signups are OPEN for the Jonnycake Center's 2025 holiday program!

In 2024, 434 underserved children from over 200 households in the Westerly/Chariho region received toys and gifts thanks to the Adopt-a-Family program! With more families each year facing crisis, our goal is to make the holiday season a more joyous and less stressful time of year!

To sign up as a donor who can help Santa arrange for holiday presents, please call Lee Eastbourne, Executive Director, at (401) 377-8069, ext. 106, or email holiday@jonnycake.org.

To register as a family in need of holiday meals or gifts, please contact Jonnycake Community Resources at (401) 377-8069 option 1. Alternatively, email the Jonnycake Community Resources office at communityresources@jonnycake.org. Registration deadline is October 31st.

With your help, we can make this year’s holiday season extra bright for those in need of magic.
