Hopkins Men's Shed Hopkins Men's Shed is a group of mostly retired men that meet every Thursday at the Hopkins Activity Center, 1pm.

We are a charity that builds Neighborhood Libraries, builds and delivers beds to needy children and helps other charities with their mission. We are a 501C charity that builds Neighborhood Libraries, builds and delivers beds to needy children and help other charities with their mission. We do group events such as tours of companies, museums oranything of interest.

April 23, 2026 Dr Douglas Mashek from the Univ of MN Medical School gave a OUTSTANDING presentation on the Science of Aging. Lots of very interesting information on the studies being performed on how to help people life longer.

An Example: A control group of mice were given a chemotherapy drug and within 10 days, all the mice have died. Another group fasted for 24 hours then given the drug. After 25 days all the mice were still alive. Take away? Fasting is good for you!
