The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) has awarded $64,677 in Fall 2025 grants to local organizations whose work uplifts, heals, and inspires. π
Every grant tells a story β of hope, resilience, and generosity. These projects are made possible by donors who believe that when we give locally, we change lives forever. π

πΎ ACT NOW - $5,500 Total - Gerrish Township Police
$4,000 β New Scrap Metal Trailer Project
Supported by the Community Impact Fund
β Supporting the Scrap Metal Project led by volunteers that generates around $3,000 a year in support for ACT NOW programs.
$1,500 β Kids Helping Kids Program
Supported by the Roscommon County Kellogg Youth Fund
β Empowering youth to take the lead in giving back β because compassion starts early.
πΎ A.R.K. / Association to Rescue Kritters
$2,500 β Education Programs for Roscommon County Schools
Supported by the Annie Williams Rackerby Fund
β Teaching students about wildlife rescue and compassion for animals through hands-on learning experiences.
π Artesia Youth Park
$1,500 β Heat Recovery Project
Supported by the Roscommon County Kellogg Youth Fund and the Morley Family Foundation Fund
β Providing warmth and comfort to community members who use Artesia for recreation and youth gatherings year-round.

$2,000 β ADA Community Garden Bed
Supported by the Roscommon County Health Improvement Fund
β Making gardening accessible for everyone and cultivating community wellness through shared growth.

$2,506 β A Community Nature Center in the Making
Supported by an Family Donor Advised Fund
β Nurturing curiosity and connection with nature while preserving a space for education and discovery.

$2,925 β Improved Splinting for Traumatic Injuries
Supported by the Wade Family Donor Advised Fund and the Roscommon County Health Improvement Fund
β Giving first responders better tools to save lives and improve emergency care for residents.

β Protecting the beauty and health of Higgins Lake through invasive species removal and lake preservation efforts.

Supported by the Houghton Lake Community Schools Support Fund and the Houghton Lake Education Fund
β Recognizing student leadership and achievement with a once-in-a-lifetime educational adventure.

$5,000 β Student Emergency Fund: Food Bags & Gas Cards
