As a mother, maternal health advocate, and community leader, I wear many hats—but all with the same mission: to uplift, educate, and empower. Whether I’m speaking on a maternal health panel, accepting an award for supporting families in Alief, or chairing the City of Houston’s Local Action Plan for My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Milestone One, my focus is clear—ensuring every child enters school ready and every mother and family has the tools to thrive. My work, alongside some of the best and most passionate, bridges lived experience and public health practice, blending research, community voice, and policy to address disparities and drive real change. I lead with both heart and purpose, committed to shaping systems that center equity, dignity, and wellness for all.
