I’m sharing a real conversation I had with a client navigating menopause 💬

Hot flashes. Anxiety. Feeling overwhelmed. Low energy. And that constant question: “Why do I feel like this?”

Together, we didn’t try to fix everything at once. We focused on what actually moves the needle:
✨ getting the right hormone support
✨ leaning into relationships that truly uplift her
✨ setting boundaries and learning to say no — because we don’t have the same energy we did in our 20s, and that’s okay

I’m sharing this because I know she’s not alone.

For the first time in my medical lifetime, the U.S. government is telling the truth about highly processed food. Drop a YES below, and I’ll DM you the full article I just wrote, breaking down The 2025–2030 Dietary Guidelines.

This marks a real course correction after decades of advice that coincided with rising obesity, diabetes, and diet-driven chronic disease. What we eat matters more than how many calories we count.

The new Guidelines explicitly reject highly processed foods, restore protein to its rightful place, accept full-fat dairy, and acknowledge that some people with chronic disease may benefit from lower-carbohydrate diets.

They aren’t perfect, and personalization still matters. But this is the most scientifically defensible set of Dietary Guidelines we’ve seen.

If you’ve ever thought, “There’s nothing here I can eat,” you’re not alone.

One tool I use with clients is the FIT (Food Inflammation Test). It doesn’t diagnose allergies, it helps identify foods that may be triggering inflammation and delayed reactions, so we have a clearer place to start.

The test is information, not a forever avoid list.
The goal is to calm the body, support gut healing, and work toward food freedom.

Swipe to see how your favorite Halloween candy has changed over the years - from simple, ingredients to a cocktail of additives, preservatives, and refined sugars.

What used to be made with milk, sugar, and peanuts is now filled with high-fructose corn syrup, artificial dyes, and flavorings that can fuel inflammation, disrupt metabolism, and stress your liver over time.

1-2 pieces are not going to destroy you, but if you want a healthier alternative, swap the modern treats for ones made with real ingredients and minimal processing. Or even some dates with a little almond butter & cacao - sweetness your body actually recognizes. 🙌

On the surface, health coaching might look like pep talks, encouragement, and accountability check-ins. And while those are helpful, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. 🧊

The real work happens below the surface: helping clients sort through confusing health advice, building strategies that actually fit their lives, and uncovering why certain habits stick (or don’t). That’s where behavior change science meets real life.
