Have your gymnast start focusing on a solid breakfast!! This is where I always start with my clients.

It sounds so simple, and it can be, but so many gymnasts are missing out on the most important meal of their day

Having a solid breakfast not only sets their day up for more energy, more focus, and a reduced injury risk for their practice…

But by consuming a solid breakfast day in and day out, it can potentially save them frustration throughout their entire gymnastics career because it’s the first step in fueling their body properly!!

I know breakfast in the morning can be a challenge, especially if your gymnast is not hungry, or they’re running out of time

So I made this breakfast book specifically for gymnast families with 30+ quick, balance, gymnast taste-test approved meals that take under five minutes to prepare

Now don’t get me wrong, body positivity can work for some people - no doubt about it👇

But in my experience with working with tons gymnasts who struggle with their body image, body neutrality is the absolute BEST way to go.

Truthfully, you are never going to 100% love your body every single day for the rest of your life. We are human.

You are going to have bad body image days. But my job is to help reduce the frequency in which those occur and teach your gymnast how to respect her body and be grateful for what it can do.

And sometimes that can actually turn into body positivity. And sometimes we stay body neutral our entire lives. And either one is okay.

Yes she’s at that “moody stage of life” but I guarantee you those lil episodes could be reduced if she fueled better!!

What your gymnast eats in the morning will dictate the majority of her day — think about it:

Skips breakfast or doesn’t eat enough =

No/low fuel for her brain and body to function properly during the morning =

Low focus and low energy during the day =

STARVING by lunch =

Ate all the lunch and maybe too much and maybe too fast =

Now doesn’t want to eat much before gym =

Training 4 hours while underfueled =

Sub-optimal performance, high injury risk, super hungry after gym and…. EXTRA MOODY

It all starts with breakfast.

These two things seem unrelated. But they’re not.

When your gymnast skips breakfast — or barely picks at it because she’s “not hungry” — she’s already starting her day in a deficit…

Her body is alreadyyy underfueled before she even gets to school! Then she trains for 4 hours on a tank that was never full to begin with…

And now think about her body?! It obviously doesn’t have what it needs to repair fully…

Her muscles will break down during training (this is normal), but without enough fuel, it can’t rebuild properly.

So hellooooo constant soreness 😅

Her body is trying to recover without the resources it needs to do so and it just can’t. And the only solution is proper fueling…

This is one of the most overlooked signs of underfueling — and one of the easiest to fix once you know what’s actually going on.

I help gymnasts like this ALL the time inside my Next Level Nutrition program and hearing their results are my faveeee

Parents noticing their kid isn’t complaining as much, my gymnasts feeling soooo much better, bodies no longer hurting, and even their coaches realizing that “something” has changed and they’re loving it!
