This is where things start to feel confusing for a lot of women.

🥚 They tell you to avoid eggs because they raise cholesterol.
But egg yolk is one of the most nutrient-dense foods for supporting your cell membranes.

◆ They tell you to avoid all omega-6 fats because they’re “inflammatory.”
But Omega-6 fatty acids are actually essential for building healthy cell membranes.

💊 They sell you fish oil capsules even though these oils are extremely delicate and easily oxidized during the extraction process.
Excessive omega-3 fatty acids can also affect membrane integrity.

💕 Your cell membranes are where your receptors live.
When they are compromised, those receptors don’t function well.

So even when hormones are present…the message hormones carry isn’t received.

And yet… no one ever taught us to look at our health that way.

We’ve been taught:
symptom → solution.

Headache? Take a painkiller.

A client looked at me across the table and said this last week.

She wasn’t arguing.
She was genuinely trying to do the right thing.

And honestly, I understand the confusion.

Everywhere you look there’s advice about what you should eat.

Paleo.
Carnivore.
Mediterranean.
Low-carb.
Plant-based.

Each one claiming to be the answer.

So people ask me a question I hear all the time:

“What am I supposed to eat?”

But over the years I’ve realized something important.

Health isn’t shaped by food alone.

It’s shaped by terrain.

Your environment.
Your light exposure.
Your daily rhythms.
Your stress levels.

And also your internal terrain:
your emotions, your thoughts, and how your body responds to stress.

When those systems are aligned, the body is remarkably resilient.

Your body is not counting minutes. It’s reading wavelengths.

“Get 20 minutes of morning sun.”—that’s the advice all over social media and honestly….

It bothers me a lot because while it sounds good but it’s not complete.

Here is why—

Sunrise light is not the same as UVA rise light.
Midday sun is not the same as sunset.

Each setting has a different light spectrum that carries different instructions to your body.

Different light frequencies influence:

- How your cortisol rises
- Whether dopamine feels steady or scattered
- When melatonin turns on
- When you start metabolism
- When you make hormones
- How well your mitochondria charge

Having a bettere relationship with light has been the biggest game changer for my own health and many of client’s health!

Ladies, going through midlife and feel like it’s mystery? this is for you…..

Stop fighting the low energy.

Because if out-of-whack hormones were truly the root cause of perimenopause mystery, then every woman who starts hormone replacement therapy would feel like herself again.

This morning, I received a message from a client that made me smile. 😊

“Sharon! I just had my blood drawn and my A1C is 5.8… down from 7.6 in November.
I’m motivated to stay on this path.” 🤩

6 months ago, her doctor was discussing medication.

She asked if she could try something first —
lifestyle and nutrition.

Her doctor agreed and gave her six months.

Here we are…..

My client told me this today, just now!

“I’ve been in so much pain for such a long time.
But what I’m doing now? It actually feels better.
It’s gentle. It’s amazing.
How come nobody told me this in the last 30 years?”

She wasn’t talking about a new supplement.
Not a new pain medication or peptide.
Not some expensive gadget.

She was talking about something simple.

Supporting her lymphatic system.

My whole life has been one long performance.
And this winter… I’m stopping the show.

For almost 50 years, my life ran on one silent program:

“Work harder.
Achieve more.
Prove it.
Don’t disappoint anyone.”

🔸Taiwanese school system.
🔸US education system.
🔸Pharmacy school.
🔸Residency.
🔸Clinical pharmacy work.
🔸Then another degree in functional medicine & nutrition.1,000+ hours of mentorship.
🔸Work

Different environments.
Same underlying program!!😔😔

These past few weeks, through deep inner work, that story finally loosened its grip.

And here’s the honest truth — the vulnerable truth:

The thought of “doing more” right now makes me tired.

I know I’m not the only woman who’s lived her entire life in performance mode
measuring her worth by achievement, productivity, and proving herself over and over again.

Your body is allowed to say:

“I’m done running my life from not enough.’”💕

Winter is a season of deep restoration.
And that is exactly what I need right now.

Rest is not regression.
Rest is the first honest step into a new chapter.

Your morning is the most powerful medicine you’re not tapping into fully yet.

Before you change your diet or add another supplement…
pause and really ask yourself:

What signals is your body receiving before anything else...

Because— your morning sets the tone for everything your biology does next.

🥱 No hunger until noon

And the hardest part?
