Dr. Ronald Ambe provides broad surgical care with a focus on diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, advanced laparoscopic procedures, comprehensive wound care, routine general surgery procedures and specialized care in colon and re**al surgery. Dr. Ambe and his medical staff are dedicated to placing patient care at the forefront of all they do by providing updated surgical techniques, quality care, patient education of treatment options while working cohesively together to help improve every patient’s quality of life. Dr. Ambe brings extensive experience in General Surgery and Colore**al Surgery to the northeast Houston area. After obtaining a bachelor degree in Biology at Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, GA; he then earned his medical degree from Howard University in Washington, DC where he gained membership into AΩA (Honor medical society). Dr. Ambe then completed a residency in General Surgery at Guthrie/ Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He served as staff general surgeon for four years while at Sacred Heart Hospital before pursing fellowship training in Colon and Re**al Surgery at St. Additionally, Dr. Ambe is board certified in General Surgery and has been elected a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He has published several articles in peer reviewed journals as well as co-authored a book chapter in Crohn’s Disease: Strictureplasty- Classification, Diagnosis and Treatment Options. He has interests in laparoscopic surgery and anore**al diseases. Dr. Ambe has extended family in Houston, is married and has twins: a daughter and son. He enjoys spending time with family, gardening, photography, chess, tennis and soccer.
