I’m a native Houstonian, the oldest of three & a first-generation college graduate. I began my mental health career in 2012, specializing in early childhood interventions for kiddos delayed in development. Prior to private practice, I had the privilege of serving Houston through work in non-profits and high-acuity facilities. As a clinician, I’m passionate about helping fellow humans make sense of their past and find new meaning in their experiences. My non-clinical passions include practicing yoga, running outdoors in some of Houston’s most beautiful spaces, cooking from scratch, environmental sustainability and resting with my two fur babies, Agnes and Burto.

🏃🏻‍♀️I’ve run this trail for over 15 years. Rain or shine, it’s been my constant. The changes they’ve made to it are beautiful. But it was today that I realized they took away my favorite part of the trail. It’s no longer there. It’s now transformed into a beautiful little bridge that connects to a nice rest area. A little reminder that change happens all around us in a variety of ways. Today I’m appreciative but I’m also a little sad. And that’s okay.

Have you been seeking a sense of normality since COVID took the world by storm? Most of us have, at one point or another.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be happy all the time. You can experience uncomfortable emotions, such as sadness or grief, without them being labeled as a negative thing.. Your feelings will pass- they always do. Life is full of ups and downs—being sad in one moment does not mean it’s a permanent feelings. It’s just that - a feeling. Allow yourself grace, and don't let your feelings stop you from living life to the fullest😌.
