✨Life update✨

Howdy y’all! I’ve been absent from this account for too long. Late 2023 and all of 2024 has been a wild ride with lots of life changes. I have lived in 3 states during that time, learned lots of life lessons, lots of personal growth and new opportunities have come about. I now live in the Denver area and happy to report I’m back on the ice, trying to pick up where I left off. Colorado has so much outdoor activity to offer and a wonderful Phoenix community. I feel at home here. I hope everyone who follows me on this account, or who I follow, are doing well 🥰🥰

Today I decided to skate at Discovery Green. The very last day of the season for this rink. There was about an inch of water on top of the very soft ice, it was 75 degrees outside and extremely humid. It was lightly raining, as well. I have to honestly say… it was amazing. I was the only person on the ice. I got soaked and I bet I looked crazy haha but I felt like a little kid just playing in the rain. I wasn’t able to really practice anything because of the conditions but it sure was nice to just have fun!

This month I celebrate 2 years since I started my adult skating journey at the age of 27. It’s been a wild ride with lots of challenges but most of all, lots of fun. My inner child loves being on the ice. It’s like therapy for me, a great tool to my overall health and healing.

If you’ve ever wanted to try skating but didn’t know how or you think it’s too late to start, I say just go out and do it. You’ve got nothing to lose!

Today I celebrate 4 years of sobriety and recovery from drugs and alcohol. I’m blessed beyond my wildest dreams to live this life, free from the clouded judgment and shackles that addiction put me in. I’m thankful to be alive. I’m thankful for the support system I have. I’m just thankful. 🖤🖤🖤

Row 4 Recovery was awesome! 599,505 meters rowed today at CrossFit Stonecutter, between roughly 17-20 people, all for addiction awareness! (I personally rowed 13,017 meters 🥵).

Addiction recovery is such a wonderful thing and I’m so glad to be apart of a community of people like this.
