Deprive people of interactions with peers, and their social skills will atrophy. This is yet another side effect of the pandemic.

If we are trying to teach our children/teenagers how to advocate for themselves we cannot assume they actually know how to compose an email to a teacher. Teacher/Student relationships are paramount in the educational outcomes of our kids...this is a great support for teaching the skill of communicating with your teacher.

Dr. Johnson aims to provide compassionate and collaborative psychological services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dr. Johnson is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of childhood and adolescent mental disorders. She has over 15 years of experience in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and emotional and behavioral disorders including depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder, and childhood anxiety disorders. Dr. Johnson has worked for several years teaching families effective parenting techniques and interaction styles. She also has significant experience in the use of acceptance-commitment therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy to help adult women struggling with depression and anxiety. It takes vulnerability and bravery to ask for help.
