This morning, while getting ready for a conference, a funny thing kept happening.

Multiple people asked me, “Are you speaking at this one?”

Each time, I smiled. Not because I am speaking, but because I am not. And still, people assume I will be on stage, leading the conversation.

That pause, that smile, is pure gratitude. I have built a life where my presence makes people expect I will be the thought leader with the mic. That is a beautiful gift.

This week, I am here to listen, learn, and refill my own creative well. I will be back on stage soon. ♥️

With my passion for user-centered design and a commitment to nurturing talent, I'm here to be your compass in navigating the intricate landscape of UX. My journey in this field is fueled by a unique blend of expertise, empathy, and a fervent belief in the power of inclusive, user-focused design.

I became an Expert UX Researcher through extensive experience in sectors like Fintech, Oil & Gas, and, Public Health.

But that's not all!

My background in higher education, coupled with a Master of Public Health, equips me with a unique perspective on instructional design and exploring intuitive experiences for a wide variety of users.

As an advocate for flexible and inclusive work environments, I offer insights into thriving in remote and hybrid work settings through workshops. Which, fun fact, is my favorite pastime!

We are so proud to announce that our Accessibility Leader and Product Designer, Sonya Lewis, will be leading a session titled, "Accessible and Inclusive Persona and Product Practices from the Sunflower UX Team" at the John Slatin AccessU 2024 Conference! 🌻

She will present a case study on how the Sunflower UX Team is reimagining EdTech by integrating accessibility and inclusive design into Continuing Medical Education (CME's) products for healthcare professionals.
