COVID-19 Testing
Medical Professionals and First Responders,

You are on the front lines of protecting our community from a variety of threats, including COVID-19. As such, you are at highest risk of exposure and becoming ill due to this virus. We want to make sure that you are, and stay safe and healthy.

That’s why Harris County Public Health is pleased to open our testing sites for medical professionals and first responders with or without symptoms. You can access our COVID-19 drive-thru testing site beginning April 15, 2020.

Please note, you will be required to sign up through the checkforcorona.com/harris-county app for screening purposes. Please make sure to indicate you are a first responder or healthcare worker during your survey. Upon completing the quick screening, you will be referred to the Nurse Triage Call Center where they will provide you a unique identification number and instructions about where to go for drive-thru testing.

The site will only accept people with a unique identification code obtained through the screening process. People who simply show up to a site will not get tested. First responder identification will be required.

A free COVID-19 screening tool out of public necessity in accordance with CDC and WHO guidelines to help the public complete a safe, comprehensive, at-home self assessment of COVID-19.

Ladies & gentlemen,

The Coronavirus is starting to gather momentum in our area. Since the week before last, we have been practicing distancing inside our office by keeping each staff member as far as possible from each other.

Effective immediately and until further notice, all our field staff will NOT be allowed to come inside our office.

If you must come in for supplies please remain in your vehicle and contact our office someone will come down to assist you.

Anyone receiving paper checks will have those checks mailed to them to the address we have on file, if you do not want your checked mailed please turn in your direct deposit information before 04/14/20.
