Do you prioritize breaks in your busy nurse day?

Here are a few ways you can make time for breaks:

✅Asking for help reaching out to co workers and the charge nurse. “Hey I need to take a break can you watch my patients or help me with this ….”

✅Planning ahead by looking at your day, anticipating busy times or when there might be a lull, and sometimes just seizing the moment. You see an opportunity for a quick break go for it ask for coverage, anticipate needs of your patients and set expectations.

Your rest and recovery is vital to your overall wellness even a 5 min step away can make a difference.
