We are a low/no cost wellness center that offers a comprehensive program of exercise, nutrition, & support to the chronically ill to help fight muscle loss

Lazarus House offers a comprehensive Wellness Program to adults and adolescents faced with chronic illness by addressing the body, mind, and spirit utilizing condition specific exercise, nutritional guidance and peer support.

November 1st was fall harvest day at the Lazarus House garden. Some small sweet potatoes , eggplant and peppers. After the harvest we planted winter vegetables, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower. Thank you to everyone who came to help out with us today.

Our garden is flourishing thanks to your support! Our herbs and vegetables have been growing beautifully. 🌿 We’ve added a new trellis for our climbing plants, some lovely painted stepping stones, and exciting new additions like jalapeño peppers, sweet banana peppers, eggplants, and begonias. 🍆🌸🌶️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our garden social! Together we added fresh dirt, planted new veggies and flowers, tidied up the front area and painted colorful stepping stones and rocks to decorate the space. The garden is looking more beautiful than ever thanks to all your efforts. Stay tuned for more updates and future events! 🌿

Garden Updates at the Lazarus House!
Come join us for another garden social event on Saturday May 31st from 9 to 11 am! We will be painting rocks and stepping stones to add more color to our garden! We also need helping hands for general garden maintainence. All are welcome :).

This week our clients got to taste and learn the different ways to use basil! We used the basil from our garden to create these lovely dishes.

Come check out the garden after your session to see the progress. We are still accepting garden donations ❤️ thank you to those who have contributed to our garden. Lets keep growing together🌻

Gardening updates at the Lazarus House, our clients got their hands dirty and participated in a fun seed starting station this week! We’re excited to see these seeds grow to add even more life to our garden.
Our okras are thriving and we have our very first okra pod! Our cucumbers are climbing beautifully, and we’ve added some new garden friends: sweet potatoes and marigolds.

With the summer heat rolling in, our garden needs your love and care. Stop by to help water and keep our friends happy!☀️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Community Garden Building Event! 🌞 Your hard work, energy, and smiles made the day truly special. We also want to give a big shoutout to everyone who donated supplies, plants, and seeds— we couldn't have done it without you! 💚

We’re excited to announce that more gardening events will be coming soon! 🌿 Stay tuned for chances to get involved, whether it’s helping with watering, maintenance, or simply enjoying the garden space with others.

🌿 Save the date! The Lazarus House will be hosting a Community Garden Building Day on Saturday, April 26th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Everyone is welcome—no gardening experience needed! Come connect with our community and help us build something meaningful. All participants will be entered into a free raffle as a thank-you for lending a hand and refreshments are provided. We are still accepting donations, and we appreciate all who have already contributed—your support makes this project possible. Let’s grow something beautiful together! 🌱
