Sponsored by the TYA, ISKCON Houston, and Expansion Wellness Center, the Free Day of Yoga Houston event will celebrate the 12th Annual Houston Free Day of Yoga this Labor Day, Monday September 4, 2017 with an opening event at ISKCON for Kirtan at 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. Class begins at 10:30 a.m. Join the TYA and local teachers for a juicy yoga class among many other local teachers participating and hundreds of yoga fans on the ISKCON Temple at 1320 W.34th Street, 77018 beginning at 8:00 a.m. for Kirtan music. From sunrise to sunset, participating studios across the city will offer free classes as a way for people of every age and every fitness level to try yoga for the first time, experience a new style of yoga or share yoga with family and friends. Since the event's inception in 2005, thousands of students have joined in the Houston Free Day of Yoga to experience the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental benefits of practicing yoga. Free classes have been offered at over 50 participating studios in communities reaching from the Woodlands to Downtown, Katy to Galveston, from Sugarland to Champions Forrest and all points in between. A beautiful morning of yoga, music, feasting and community! Much gratitude to ISKCON of Houston for hosting us at the last minute due to the rain, and to all of you that came and celebrated with us!
