My name is Caroline and I come from Belgium. We arrived in Houston in October 2014 with our 2 young children for my husband's job who works in Marketing for a Belgian chemical company. During the last four years, I've been working as a family doctor in a medical center in Belgium. In this context, I worked extensively with mothers and young children at The Office of Birth and Childhood (a public institution that takes care of preventive medicine for children between before the birth and 6 years old). I’ve educated, empowered and coached mothers and their husbands about breastfeeding, sleep, food, education for their children.I also worked in another public institution taking care of following pregnancies and targeting education of women on contraception. As my physician diploma is not recognized in the US, I have been looking for other opportunities to valorize my knowledge and experience in those field. So I decided to pass the IBCLE exam to become a lactation consulting. Two years ago, I’ve begun learning to carry my children … and I love to help mothers to carry their baby with different carrying slings. Learn to carry his baby is a win win for the baby and his mother. Carrying his baby and breastfeeding are really complementary. Indeed, carrying his baby improves the breastfeeding
My mother tongue is French. I also speak English and I am skilled in Spanish. My diplomas:
