Mission Statement

MercyHouse Organization is a safe haven home for women and children that are survival of domestic violence and abuse. Our mission is dedicated to meeting the needs of abused women and children/ sexually assaulted victims. We have great programs that helps positively change lives and encouraged a better focus on body, mind and spiritual growth, as well as self sufficient skills to improve and configurates individualized, realistic self sufficient action plan and recovery from any form of abuse. Our mission is to Prevent Domestic Violence and Abuse/ Sexual Assault by creating awareness in the communities,(society) creating a better environmental living area and making sure that no women or child is left behind by providing educational support system and programs, financial assistance, legal services, safe shelter, and etiquette life skill workshops. Goals and Objectives

Through our programs and counseling, we have touched the lives of women and children who are or have been a victim of verbal, physical violence and emotional abuse. We’ve helped in career services; provide onsite day care, medical transportation and safe transitional housing. Our goal is to reach out to the community and create awareness through a positive and proactive approach without any boundaries, because together we can stop domestic violence and abuse against women and children.

– Individual and group counseling.
– Limited essentials to get started if needed such as food and clothing.
– Provide case management support to leave an abusive relationship.
– Provide case management support to get safer while in an abusive relationship.
– Parenting support.
– Contact with an Outreach Counselor for ongoing support up to a year
– Diapers, formula and other baby needs. Toys for children and teens.
– Ongoing Employment project plans to help assist victims of domestic violence. Accomplishments

We have an ongoing daily support system that provides help and offer support to women and their families. MercyHouse recently donated comforters, queen size mattresses along with furniture that included sofas, deep freezer, complete dinning sets, televisions and washer/dryer sets to the women in need. The MercyHouse Organization also collaborated with Devry University and donated two brand new computer systems including monitors to the HAWC Shelter. In addition to that, we have reached out to 2,609 clients for referral services like child day care, rent, bill payment, financial assistance, legal canceling and filings of legal documents.
