And we’re home!!! She’s still in pain obviously but the meds are making it tolerable. She’s showered, ate a slice of pizza (don’t judge me 😂) and laying down!!

When Zayda first got diagnosed at age 8 with kidney disease we discovered it was from an auto immune disease. She underwent chemo and in that time refused pain meds until I put my foot down and said “it’s here. Don’t be in pain if you don’t need to”. Zayda will tolerate pain as much as possible. Yesterday I saw my daughter cry when a lidocaine patch was placed on her. She’s been able to get some sleep due to the pain meds but she still has pain. Thankfully the tears have stopped as long as no one touches her arm.
They have set up for her to have dialysis here. That will be the true test. Dialysis filters out all the medication and anesthesia. That’s when the mask comes off. If the pain continues an ultrasound will happen and we’ll see from there. Thank you everyone for your prayers and continued prayers.

Update: The Dr has decided to have Zayda admitted since the pain is still uncontrolled. We’re waiting on a room to open up. As soon as they move her I can go and see her. Lord hear our prayers!!

About 12:30 a nurse called and said they were hoping to have her moved to recovery where I could see zayda in about 30-45 mins. That they just had to get her pain taken care of. As of about 2:15 she’s still in the first post op area still trying to handle the pain situation. Until she’s in recovery I can’t be with her. Pray for relief from the pain please. I hate sitting here knowing there’s nothing I can do other than pray and ask for prayer.

The star of the show is back in the operating room. Her dialysis arm has been giving her some issues once again. They’re going to balloon the fistula open. It seems to be a reoccurring area. This is an outpatient procedure so as long as all is well we’ll go home today.
