It’s ulcer season

This patient presented to me for a second opinion for a stubborn corneal ulcer and a hypopion. I cultured her and started her on prompt fortified (high dose compounded) antibiotic drops. Fast forward a week and she looks so much better!

Tips to prevent ulcers
🎯wear eye protection when needed esp when gardening!
🎯avoid wearing contact lens over 8 hours a day and never ever (ever) sleep in contact lens!
🎯get a free LASIK evaluation to discuss other options to reduce dependency on glasses
🎯long fingernails can cause scratches to the eye, especially if you wear contact lens. Keep them short! ☺️ functional is beautiful too.
