Nick Finnegan Counseling Center

Nick Finnegan Counseling Center A unique, non-profit providing personalized service and excellence in counseling at affordable rates

Established in 2008, the organization was renamed Nick Finnegan Counseling Center in 2011 as a way for Bill and Susan Finnegan to honor their late son, Nick, who passed away several years earlier in an automobile accident. Support from family, friends and counselors helped the Finnegans grieve their loss. Because of this support, they found faith to move forward as a family, and in turn, wanted to give similar support to others. Along with the Finnegan family, NFCC raises awareness about and provides cost-effective mental health resources to Houstonians.

During Self-Harm Awareness Month, we want to acknowledge a few common myths and truths to help reduce stigma and encourage more compassionate conversations. Self-harm is often misunderstood, which can make it even harder for people who are struggling to reach out for help.

If you or someone you love is struggling, talking to a trained therapist can help. We would love to connect you with support - call us today!

What a great day! We had so much fun this morning with our Mini Camp Nick friends! We spent time learning how to initiate conversations and play, how to handle, feeling left out, coping with our big emotions and working on our self-esteem!

This is NOT a gentle reminder.
You have more than a month to make space in your schedule to get to this panel discussion, in person.

The topic is too important to simply watch online. It requires your full attention, and the support of community.

We need each other more than ever. See you April 9 at 9:30 am. Bring a friend.
