When government decides what is "acceptable" and what is “unacceptable,” when they label dissent as dangerous, we are well on the road to tyranny.
This anti-free speech policy isn’t an isolated case; it is metastasizing in Washington.
History contains examples of what happens when we allow this to go unchecked–and it gives us examples of how to check it.
"The Fascist government in Germany didn’t start with concentration camps; they started with censorship. Stalin’s Communist government in Russia began with silencing dissent. Mao’s Cultural Revolution, which murdered an entire generation, began with “controlling the narrative.”
These regimes justified their actions under the pretense of “protecting the public,” “maintaining order,” or “combating misinformation.”
In the end each feared the power of free thought, free speech, and a free people.
The justifications used in the UK are the very same ones used by the totalitarians of old–and they are the same ones being used by elected politicians in Washington.
When a government says, “We’re coming for you,” because you dare to voice an opinion, it’s not just a threat—it’s a declaration of war on freedom itself.
Their policy is not about “protecting the public”; they seek to control the public.
You and I must act decisively and quickly.
This is our moment to stand against authoritarianism before it gains an unshakable foothold. We cannot afford to be silent or complacent. We must defend our right to speak out, challenge, and question those in power. "
