The holidays are some of the hardest times of the year when mourning a loved one. All the signs of "togetherness" and "cheer" are reminders that you can never be all together in the same way again, and that is re-heartbreaking each time.
So give yourself (or your family/friends, if they are grieving) permission to change things up, to let some things go, and to only spend energy to socialize & face the heartache when its in line with your values.
We know it hurts. Sending you our empathy and our readiness to help if you want some added support.
TONIGHT at 7 all around the world
parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts & uncles, and friends
gather to light a candle and remember
their beloved children who left this world too soon.
We light candles to show that their lives matter -- they are still very loved -- and they will never be forgotten.
The candles are lit at 7 pm in every time zone so a consistent warm glow spreads around the planet for a full 24-hour day.
Join us.
Who will you remember?

If you have you lost a spouse, child, sibling or parent and are now suffering the effects of this profound loss, please participate in this online survey.
It is collecting data helping us to define more clearly what types of social support are helpful to bereaved people and what/who is unhelpful.
The study consists of a questionnaire taken online. The survey includes questions about social support from family, friends and professionals as well as substance use. You can skip any questions you don’t want to answer.
A small number of people will be randomly selected for a 30 minute phone interview. If you should consent to being interviewed, we may contact you if you are randomly selected.
Be the first to know and let us send you an email when Bamboo Center for Grief, Growth, & Well-being posts news and promotions. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
