NaturaScripts is taking us back to basics to the beginning of humanity to review what our ancient ancestors eat to look into how the human diet developed. Good nutrition and healthy foods are the foundation of being healthy.
Looking at Creation stories, the Jewish and Christian stories are nearly identical, and Adam and Eve were to eat the vegetation (fruits, vegetables, greenery, nuts and legumes) that was provided from the Earth. The Quran (Muslim faith), Buddhist and Hindu stories are similar and allowed a full diet of vegetation and animal protein. The vast majority of creation stories throughout the world are based on animals participating in creation.
Since the abundant lists of stories that include animal participation to do give any real instruction how man should eat, there is no mention of food in this stories. What we do know of the peoples in the Americas, we understand that they hunted, they gathered and they also farmed. This leaves nothing out of the diet that people nowadays wouldn’t eat except for pickling or fermenting foods. The only dietary restrictions are found in the Torah (the first 5 books of the Bible that are shared within the Jewish and Christian faiths) and only initially had forbidden humans to eat meat (until the Great Flood).
So our initial search of the human diet gave very little direction. The predominant features of the initial human diet are the same as we eat now, excepting that the nutritional value of the soil and the processed foods some of us eat now are the only real differences.
Next we will check out the Caveman diets to see if we have any further direction on what is healthy for us.
