The mind-body connection explores how emotional well-being influences physical health and va**nal health. A woman’s va**nal health is a central part of their life, which can be drastically affected by women’s mental health which encompasses emotional, mental, and psychological states. By honoring this connection women can be empowered to adopt holistic approaches to va**nal health. Honoring this interconnectedness empowers women not only to enhance their va**nal health but to live a confident, educated, and holistic life. By incorporating mindful practices, balanced meal plans, and stress management, women can lead a lifelong journey of health and well-being.

Vaginal health is the essence of women’s overall well-being and sexual health. Vaginal health involves physical, spiritual, emotional, and psychological aspects of womanhood. Holistic approaches can promote optimal va**nal health and feminine longevity, by focusing on natural solutions that address the root causes of issues rather than merely alleviating symptoms. Holistic approaches to va**nal health honor the interconnectedness of women’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Holistic methods focus on nutrition, hydration, exercise, mindfulness, alternative therapies, sexual wellness, and preventative healthcare, by implementing these into their daily lives women can increase va**nal health and longevity. Holistic practices enhance women’s quality of life but also contribute to a deeper understanding of one’s body, desires, and seuxal needs. A holistic perspective on va**nal health empowers women to live a confident and empowered life.

Women can awaken their divine feminine spirit by implementing holistic healing during one’s spiritual journey, which encourages women to reconnect with their innate feminine qualities like creativity, nurturing, wisdom, and kindness. By practicing mindfulness, spending time in nature, surrounding oneself with community, exploring creative outlets, and practicing self-care, women can reconnect with their feminine essence. As women work toward spiritual awakening, women not only enrich their lives but also contribute to a more balanced and harmonious society. Spiritual journeys are personal, and the impact is universal, creating a space for future generations to celebrate, embrace, and honor the feminine spirit within them.

When women rise above negative sexual stigma this makes them feel empowered, educated, and in control of their bodies, sexuality, and sexual pleasure. As a society we should make a collective effort to create spaces for women to feel understood, in these spaces women can be educated with evidence-based resources and information. This creates groups that are founded on community support, and activism. Women can stand together and empower both themselves and each other, when women rise together we create a powerful force to be reckoned with this can challenge negative narratives that have silenced women for centuries. An inclusive society is one that values women’s voices and choices, we can pave the way for a future where all women can feel empowered, confident, and beautiful without stigma.

Midwives belong to the people, families and communities-not the system.”-Midwife Okunsola

This year we’re celebrating National Midwifery Week with midwives all over the globe who do this amazing work. We’re thanking every midwife who’s joined us in the fight to make birth better. We’re uplifting Black midwives and boldly bringing our cultural, ancestral and spiritual practices, right along with us! We’re reclaiming, proclaiming and joyously saying-Midwives are the answer! Bring back midwives to every community and village.💙

When the system has shattered the healing remedies, sacred generational ceremonies and practices that have benefited birthing women and families for years, we at Jamaa Birth Village call in the power and gift of Sankofa-to go back and get our wisdom, activate it and keep going.🙌🏾

Don’t forget who you are, don’t forget who WE are, and don’t forget what midwifery really is and what it really was before colonization and criminalization.

May midwives all over unite despite systemic credentials and call in recognition, investment and the support we so deserve. Happy National Midwifery week and Happy Community Midwife month, today and everyday.💙✊🏾💙

Happy Black History Month!
This month, as our Black Midwives Day celebration and quickly approaches in March, we want you to celebrate Black history by remembering that Black Liberation Begins At Birth!
Each week we will feature an ancestral midwife whose contributions to our collective history continue to inspire us towards collective liberation!

Midwife Mary Francis Hill Coley was an advocate for healthy babies. Born in 1900, as an adult she became interested in midwifery and lived on to deliver over 3,000 babies. Her work was most notably documented in a film, “All my Babies,” made in 1953. This film was used as a training video for midwives, showing the complete procedures of delivery.

Join us in Hampton, Virginia to continue celebrating and learning from Black midwives! bit.ly/NBMA2024Conference.
