Interfaith Community Clinic

Interfaith Community Clinic Mission: Providing medical care, dental care, counseling and patient service assistance to uninsured in Montgomery County.

Founded by Dr. Joel Kerschenbaum, the South County Community Clinic, dba Interfaith Community Clinic (ICC) opened its doors in 1996 to meet the medical needs of the uninsured population. As the needs of the community have grown, so have the services offered at the clinic. Today, the clinic continues to provide quality basic medical and dental care, counseling and patient services to individuals in need. A volunteer staff of licensed physicians, nurses, medical providers, dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists, as well as translators and support personnel work together to provide patient care. Interfaith Community Clinic encourages patients to make a dontation as a contribution to their care. Patient services will not be denied if a client is unable to do so. Programs are provided free of charge and are funded by the generous financial support of grants, faith based organizations, businesses, civic groups, and individuals.

Exciting News for Our Clinic!

Interfaith Community Clinic, in partnership with Compassion United, is seeking volunteer physicians and nurse practitioners to provide compassionate medical care to individuals experiencing homelessness.

By volunteering just a few hours of your time, you can help deliver dignity, hope, and access to care for neighbors who need it most. Our volunteers provide basic medical evaluations, manage chronic and acute conditions, and serve alongside a supportive, mission-driven healthcare team in a welcoming environment.

Clinic hours are Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Miracle City in Conroe.

If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering or learning more, please contact Anita Phillips at aphillips@interfaithcommunityclinic.org or call (832) 246-8307.

Together, we can make a life-changing difference for those in need. 💙

January is Thyroid Awareness Month!

Your thyroid may be small, but it has a big job—controlling hormones that impact nearly every part of your body, from your heart and brain to your liver and kidneys. When the thyroid makes too much or too little hormone, it can throw your whole system off balance and cause a wide range of symptoms.

Here’s the good news: With proper testing, diagnosis, and treatment, people with thyroid conditions can live full, healthy lives. If something feels “off,” don’t ignore it—your health matters.
