November is Diabetes Awareness Month 🩵

This month, we come together to raise awareness, provide education, and support the millions of individuals and families affected by diabetes. Diabetes Awareness Month is a reminder of the importance of early detection, healthy lifestyle choices, and access to proper care and resources.

Throughout November, we encourage everyone to learn the signs, understand the risk factors, and support those living with Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes. Small steps like staying active, choosing balanced meals, and getting regular checkups can make a big difference.

Show your support this month by wearing blue, sharing educational resources, and uplifting those impacted by diabetes. Together, we can spread awareness, promote prevention, and inspire healthier communities.

Compassion United is grateful for our partner agency, Interfaith Community Clinic . Thank you for your partnership in providing medical care and support at Miracle City and our East Campus as well!

We are thankful for all of the churches and partner agencies that work with us to serve the homeless and marginalized in Montgomery County.

In November we are going to highlight many of these partners and say THANK YOU for putting the UNITED in Compassion United, so stay tuned!

Mission Monday: Inspiring patient stories from our clinic.

When a young woman in her mid-20s discovered a lump in her breast, she was told by several providers she was too young for concern. At Interfaith Community Clinic, she finally found a place that listened. Our team provided timely care, a referral for a mammogram, and a biopsy — which thankfully revealed a benign fibroadenoma.

She left relieved and grateful, finally having answers, peace of mind, and care she might not have received anywhere else. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re proud to be a place women can turn to for compassionate, accessible care, and through our partnership with Memorial Hermann In The Pink of Health, early detection. 💗

What a fantastic day at the Interfaith Community Clinic Healthy Kids Festival!

This past weekend, we saw 144 children receive free medical check-ups, dental exams, and vision screenings provided by the Lions Club. Flu vaccines were also available!

The room was filled with smiles, laughter, face painting, and wonderful community vendors. 💚 We’re so grateful to everyone who came out and helped make this special day a success for our community’s kids!

As a trusted healthcare provider for uninsured and underinsured residents, the Clinic continues to be a vital place where women can turn for essential preventive care, including free Well Woman Exams and referrals for mammograms.
