Can’t go wrong with a card!
don’t think anyone’s allergic to heartfelt sentiments written out on a card!
If you’re feeling crafty, make one yourself with paper, lace, and glitter, or pick one up from the store and add your own spin to it.
Sticking to paper is also a great option for class valentine’s for little kids.
Give toys a try!
Non food items like small toys are great for classrooms with allergy kids present as well as adults with asthma and allergies.
Our one caveat is that someone with a dust mite allergy might not want stuffed animals, so it’s best to check with the person first to see if this is ok.
Stay away from strong scents!
Lavish perfumes and cozy candles might seem like a good idea, but not if you have asthma! Strong fragrances can trigger asthma attacks and turn a romantic day into a terrible one. Plus, heavily fragranced beauty products can also cause eczema flareups for those who have it.
Instead, try fragrance free beauty products or even flowers that have little to no scent.
Allergy friendly candy.
It takes a bit of extra effort, there is allergy friendly candy out there.
Companies like Enjoy Life, No Whey Chocolate, and Yumearth produce their treats in allergen free facilities, so you know they're safe every time.
