"Remember the Fallen" pays tribute to those brave men and women who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. It is made of 13 pieces of wood that are stabilized with back supports. Each piece of wood is burned and the lettering and silhouette of the soldier are carved by hand to create the worn, antiqued look. The flag is painted red, white and blue to show reverence.

The flag is 19 inches tall, 37 inches wide, and 2 inches thick. Every flag at Charred and Starred is numbered.

You can hang this flag outside, however, just like any wood product, the type of elements the flags are exposed to will determine how long they will last. We do spray each flag with a clear coat to protect it and you could ask for a coat of polyurethane to your flag, for added protection. It won’t make your flag weather-proof, but it will help to protect it from the elements.

Your flag will come complete with hanging wire already attached. They are less than 15 pounds so hanging them is easy. We recommend using simple hanging kits from your local hardware store.

Absolutely. The majority of our flags are custom requests. We will collaborate and work with you to design and create your idea. Each flag will be that more unique as a result. We offer custom solutions within our list of products and if you don’t see something in the area you are looking for, simply message us and we will work with you on the design!
