Healing Horses provides riding opportunities for individuals with disabilities

With the new year starting soon, we are lightly beginning a search for another therapy horse to add to our program. Details are as followed:

1. Ideally aged 10-20

2. 13hh-15.2hh tall

3. More whoa than go.

4. Non-reactive/safe for little kids with disabilities!

5. We are open to all breeds of horses!

6. Sound. Light maintenance is ok.

7. Bonus points if the horse can be ridden at a walk/trot/lope by a beginner child. Not a deal breaker though.

This horse will mostly be ridden in an arena being led by a volunteer with 1-2 volunteers walking alongside them. Horse will be exposed to lots of toys, loud kids, quick movements, and riders touching or moving all over their body.

We are still in great need of volunteers!

Healing Horses Therapy provides riding opportunities to individuals with disabilities. We serve mostly children 2 years and older.

We are looking for individuals to sidewalk alongside the horses and aid in assisting our riders in activities. No horse experience necessary!

We are also looking for individuals with horses experience to lead horses during classes.

Volunteers must be at least 13 years old.

Classes are held Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:05.

🔹️Classes are ran on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:05. We are looking for any and all assistance we can get for either day!

Some of our Healing Horses Therapy, LLC. families will remember my dad, John, volunteering weekly with the kids. Coming early to help set up, working with the kids and horses, and helping with clean up. He came once or twice a week for years.

My dad recently lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after 3 years. I know families and volunteers who remember him will miss him almost as much as we will.

💥Healing Horses Therapy is looking for a few more volunteers to help out starting ASAP💥

We are looking for help on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:05.

Located in Howard Lake, we provide riding opportunities for individuals with a disability and have full classes and need some extra support! Please PM if interested. Then only requirement is you must be 13 years of age. It's a great way to get volunteer hours and very rewarding!

We would like to thank Holasek Flower Power for their generous donation to Healing Horses Therapy. Their donation will aid in purchasing an expensive piece of equipment that will help some riders gain trunk and core strength while riding their horses as well as aid in some medical bills for one of our therapy horses recently acquired.
