One of the biggest...I'll be honest here...excuses I hear from clients who are trying to make changes in their lifestyle is that they don't have access to some of the tools they need to succeed in becoming stronger and healthier.
It's understandable that not everyone can afford a monthly gym membership.
Not everyone can buy a whole weight set (I didn't even buy mine, I got it on Freecycle 100 years ago!), or even has the space for it.
BUT...there is plenty you can do to transform your body with what you already have:
YOURSELF.
Bodyweight exercises are accessible to all, can be modified depending on your fitness level, and can be enhanced by something as simple as a band or an incline.
Pushups, pull ups, planks, sit ups, step-ups, squats, and many other exercises require just your body weight to be effective, meaning you can start NOW with no equipment.
You can even lose body fat doing body weight exercises.
As you get stronger and your form / balance improve, you will need to increase the difficulty of your moves to see more progress.
If you're ready for a challenge, bring in a friend, throw your child on your back, or squat holding your dog because, hey, anything can be a weight if you want it to be!
Let's leave the excuses at the door and get moving with our most precious asset: our AMAZING bodies! 💪
