Donations are accepted through PayPal with our email elliessearchforsight@gmail.com or going into any Wright Patt Credit Union and donating to Ellie Dallis Charitable Fund. It's been brought to our attention that someone has had issues with going into Wright-Patt Credit Union to deposit money. There's two ways to do it, tell them you want to deposit money into a charitable account then give them the name or her account number is 6006443 [you can't withdraw money with this number so don't waste your time trying to ;) ]
Ellie G. Dallis was born on September 2nd, 2010 in Panama City FL. As soon as she was born she had to fight gastroschsis and was in the NICU for 35 days. At that time they realized her sodium levels were climbing to abnormally high levels. They had to transfer her to University of Florida, Shands Hospital get her next diagnosis. They did an MRI and ran some other tests and she was diagnosed with Septo-Optic Dysplasia (SOD) / Optic Nerve Hypoplasia (ONH). These diagnoses mean her optic nerves/discs are under developed causing significant vision impairment, what degree is not known yet but it is very significant vision loss. This also means her pituitary gland is under developed too which creates hormone deficiencies and causes her to be on medication to keep her out of the hospital and alive. We were shocked and scared. The doctors told us she could be mentally challenged, blind, and could develop numerous hormone deficiencies. We were told that there is no cure and no treatment for her vision, After extensive research and talking with other parents of children with SOD, we were able to discover a new treatment that is having amazing results for people diagnosed with SOD, stem cell therapy. These stem cell treatments are administered by Beike BioTech, one of the world’s leaders in stem cell research and treatments, located in Guangdong, China. Other children that have made the trip to China for the treatments are having amazing results. Many children who begin the treatments blind with light perception, by the time their treatments are over and some are even seeing objects with the help of glasses. Although we have been accepted into the Beike BioTech Program, insurance does not cover any of the costs and we must raise them all. The total cost of the 15-18 day trip, including the stem cell treatments, airfare, food, and expenses comes out to roughly $30,000. Although this is a small price to pay for helping our daughter see, we must raise the funds ourselves. We appreciate any help that is offered to us. Please help us get the word out about Ellie’s cause by sharing this page with your friends and family. We're about to start fundraising efforts and a place to donate so please stay tuned!
