A recent systematic review examining cyanoacrylate adhesives for neonatal central venous catheter (CVC) securement brought forward powerful findings: across 12 studies and 3,076 neonatal catheters, cyanoacrylate glue significantly reduced key catheter‑related complications (including dislodgement, infection, and thrombosis) compared to traditional securement methods.

For NICU teams, every improvement that enhances stability, protects fragile skin, and reduces complication risk matters. That’s why solutions like SecurePortIV® adhesive play such an important role.
