A few photos from a recent visit to Harbin Hot Springs.
I spent a lot of time at these springs back in the early 2000’s. This was my first time back since the wildfire damage and repair to the grounds.
It felt amazing to be back in a place that felt simultaneously familiar & new.
Both the dragon gate and the grounds cat, Brenda ( pictured) survived the fire and continue to represent the integration of the past within the modern design.
I felt truly giddy walking up to hill the springs late night, in the dark, under what seemed to be at least 6 million stars. It reminded me of every late night, warm weather adventure I’ve ever had, and there’s just something extra special to be able to comfortably wear shorts & sandals at night.
Alternating between cold and hot pool plunges during the day amongst other friendly faces, beautiful flowers & views also felt extremely uplifting.
Super excited to visit again. Thanks for being a great companion~ 💕 #🐉
