Her early years were spent in an inner-city of Los Angeles. She has called Orange County, California her home for the past 30 years. She completed her bachelors degree in psychology at University of California, Irvine. Jacque went on to earn her Master of Social Work at University of Southern California. Jacque’s passion regarding holistic and healthy lifestyle practices, led her to pursue a 200-hour yoga teacher certification with an additional 54-hour training in yoga for cancer recovery. The 2026 International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain, reminds us that generosity of spirit—offering support, encouragement, compassion, and presence—creates abundance for all.

Through breath, movement, and community, we practice giving kindness to ourselves and one another.

Our Story

Jacque Ruddy is a Southern California Native. She has called Huntington Beach home since 1991. Jacque is a sought-after keynote speaker and workshop leader for topics such as: Resiliency through Adversity - - - Breast Health & Early Detection of Breast Cancer - - - Harness Your Dreams with a Vision Board - - - Corporate Communication-Keys to Success - - - Mindfulness in the Workplace and at Home - - - Single Parents Guide to a College Education - - - How I Received over $225,000 in Scholarships & Grants for College - - - Garbage Bag Kid to USC Grad! Jacque has an incredible story of strength and resilience. In 2011, Jacque was raising her 20 month and six-year-old sons, on her own. To give her family a better future, she made the decision to pursue her dreams of a college education that would lead to her becoming a Clinical Therapist. During her first semester, on her son's second birthday, Jacque learned that she had an invasive breast cancer and would have to undergo a mastectomy. Two weeks after the mastectomy, she was back in college, full-time. She stayed in school through aggressive chemotherapy and many complications. Jacque earned an AA degree, with honors, and was offered a full-ride at the University of California, Irvine as a Psychology and Social Behavior major.

During her undergraduate studies at UCI, Jacque conducted research in the area of behaviors and breast cancer. Two days before her senior year at UCI was to begin, Jacque was diagnosed with Stage III recurrent breast cancer! The cancer had returned, more aggressive than ever. In spite of having multiple surgeries, three months of chemotherapy, and five weeks of daily radiation therapy, on June 10, 2016, Jacque became the first in her family to earn a Bachelor’s degree!

Against all odds, Jacque was granted admission to her dream school for her graduate studies: Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, University of Southern California School. On May 10, 2018, Jacque walked across the USC stage to receive her Master of Social Work, a dream come true!

Jacque works with individuals and groups to share strategies to get from reverse to neutral and from neutral to living your best live and finding the personal power to achieve the personal and professional growth you deserve. Jacque believes that most of what holds us back are the deep-rooted lies we have been told and have continued to tell ourselves about our value and ability.
