Mindful Moments
I'm sure we have all been motivated and inspired by a speaker, a class, or workshop. We've passionately committed to the diet, sending written thank-you notes, daily workout, journaling, working your business, etc. What happens when that initial passion wanes? When everything around you is the same and your usual routine wants to creep back in?
Dig in and get committed! Make it nonnegotiable. You can do it! Get a coach for accountability and guidance. Tell everyone your goals. We believe in you!

Self-care is a real thing. Each day take time to honor yourself. As a promoter of positivity, I would rewrite this title to read: "Ideas for a GOOD DAY."

Mindful Moments.
Lifestyle change can be accomplished in small, daily steps.
1. As soon as you wake up, before opening your eyes smile. Really, smile. This sends signals to your brain getting your chemistry set to start the day.
2. Make your bed. No matter what. Roll out and make it. Every day.
3. Spend five minutes, without your phone, and consider three things for which you are grateful.
Baby steps. When you master these, let me know and I will give you more steps.

Jacque Ruddy is a Southern California Native. She has called Huntington Beach home since 1991.
Jacque is a sought-after keynote speaker and workshop leader for topics such as: Resiliency through Adversity - - - Breast Health & Early Detection of Breast Cancer - - - Harness Your Dreams with a Vision Board - - - Corporate Communication-Keys to Success - - - Mindfulness in the Workplace and at Home - - - Single Parents Guide to a College Education - - - How I Received over $225,000 in Scholarships & Grants for College - - - Garbage Bag Kid to USC Grad!
Jacque has an incredible story of strength and resilience. In 2011, Jacque was raising her 20 month and six-year-old sons, on her own. To give her family a better future, she made the decision to pursue her dreams of a college education that would lead to her becoming a Clinical Therapist.
During her first semester, on her son's second birthday, Jacque learned that she had an invasive breast cancer and would have to undergo a mastectomy. Two weeks after the mastectomy, she was back in college, full-time. She stayed in school through aggressive chemotherapy and many complications. Jacque earned an AA degree, with honors, and was offered a full-ride at the University of California, Irvine as a Psychology and Social Behavior major.
During her undergraduate studies at UCI, Jacque conducted research in the area of behaviors and breast cancer. Two days before her senior year at UCI was to begin, Jacque was diagnosed with Stage III recurrent breast cancer! The cancer had returned, more aggressive than ever. In spite of having multiple surgeries, three months of chemotherapy, and five weeks of daily radiation therapy, on June 10, 2016, Jacque became the first in her family to earn a Bachelor’s degree!
Against all odds, Jacque was granted admission to her dream school for her graduate studies: Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, University of Southern California School. On May 10, 2018, Jacque walked across the USC stage to receive her Master of Social Work, a dream come true!
Jacque works with individuals and groups to share strategies to get from reverse to neutral and from neutral to living your best live and finding the personal power to achieve the personal and professional growth you deserve. Jacque believes that most of what holds us back are the deep-rooted lies we have been told and have continued to tell ourselves about our value and ability.
In sessions and workshops, Jacque embraces a client-centered approach that is directed with clinical and holistic techniques. With the belief that we are all fully empowered with the tools we need, Jacque’s methods teach the client to connect with their own power.
Jacque’s clients consistently report better physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Improved sleep quality, reduced stress and depression. One client says, “With Jacque’s guidance and support I was able to change the story I had been telling myself to a story that exemplifies my true self and my true worth.”
