So proud of our Student Leader Alyssa!

Meet Alyssa Milbee, a fourth-year medical student at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿฉบ

A proud Teays Valley, WV native, Alyssa kicked off her academic journey at Marshall University College of Science, earning dual degrees in biological and health sciences with minors in chemistry and pre-professional health care studies. ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ“š

Why medicine? Alyssa loves helping patients and their families understand whatโ€™s happening when questions arise. Sheโ€™s passionate about pediatrics, and aims to make a difference through advocacy, education and community health initiatives. ๐ŸŒ

Alyssa still remembers the moment she got her acceptance call to medical school. It happened right in the middle of an undergraduate lecture and changed everything. ๐Ÿ“ž

Beyond the books, Alyssa leads as a Learning Community Leader, mentors fellow students, and even contributed as an associate author for the 2025 First Aid for USMLE Step 1! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ“–

Sheโ€™s grateful for the support and scholarships that fuel her dream of becoming a pediatrician and making every patient feel truly heard.
