DTC’s Peeps are gearing up to bring some eggcitement to little ones while they sleep!

If you ordered Egg My Lawn, keep an eye out this evening as our Peeps hop through neighborhoods in their bright orange vests and flashlights. It is also a good idea to give your neighbors a friendly heads-up so everyone is in on the fun.

We can’t wait for little ones to wake up to their Easter morning surprises!🐰

As we head into Easter Sunday, we are feeling so grateful for our community and for everyone who has supported our Easter events.

To kick off the celebration, we were thrilled to host our Eggciting Egg Hunt and draw our grand prize winners. Each winner, pictured here, received a basket filled with family fun, a small way to help spread a little extra Easter cheer.

Keeping the fun going, we were also excited to offer our DTCottontail scavenger hunt. This year, DTCottontail was tucked away in the greenery along the Rose Garden wall. Thank you to everyone who joined in this activity.

The excitement is not over yet. We are looking forward to this evening as DTC’s Peeps begin their journey, filling lawns with eggs for Easter morning.

We are so thankful to share these moments with our community and cannot wait to see the joy Easter morning brings to so many families.

The fun has already begun! Some children in our community woke up to early Easter surprises with yards filled with eggs as DTC’s Peeps brought eggcitement to little ones while they were fast asleep.

Yesterday was a beautiful day for our 2026 Eggciting Egg Hunt! We are so proud to continue this special tradition each year alongside our incredible partner, Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District. We truly could not have asked for better weather, and it made for a warm and wonderful day at St. Cloud Commons All-Inclusive Playground and Splash Pad.

One of the most meaningful parts of this event is offering adaptive egg hunt experiences for all. From Bunny Tail for those with mobility difficulties, Quiet Bunny for sensory processing needs, and Peep Peep for vision support, to our Every Bunny Welcome hunt for children with other disabilities and their siblings, it is an honor to create a space where every child can participate and feel included.

A special thank you to Melanie Shafer for emceeing and to her son’s business, Jack & the Bean Coffee Company, for providing refreshments. We are also grateful for the joy brought by Itty Bitty Therapy - Horses Bringing Happiness, Hope and Healing, Peanut’s Balloons and Yard Cards, Huntington Police Department, Huntington Fire Department, and so many wonderful partners who helped make the day extra special.

Thank you to every family who joined us! We are so grateful for our volunteers, including those who suited up in costume, with DTC AmbassadorJohn Lovejoy as Mr. Cottontail and others who brought the roles of Mrs. Cottontail and our Easter Chickee to life, helping create such a fun and memorable day.

We would especially like to recognize Mindy Maxey , DTC’s Community Outreach Ambassador, who went above and beyond to help make this event such a success. Our community’s support and dedication are what make this event so meaningful year after year. We are already looking forward to next year’s hunt!

Join us for DTC and Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District’s Eggciting Egg Hunt, a FREE adaptive egg hunt created for children who have disabilities and their siblings.

This evening is created so every child can enjoy the fun of an egg hunt in a way that fits their needs. Families can choose from several adaptive hunt options, including:

🐰 Quiet Bunny – a quieter egg hunt for children with sensory processing difficulties
🦽 Bunny Tail – for children using wheelchairs or with restricted mobility
🐣 Peep Peep – a beeping egg hunt for children who are visually impaired
🥚 Every Bunny Welcome – an egg hunt for children with other disabilities and their siblings

The Eggciting Egg Hunt will feature a variety of exciting activities, including inflatables, crafts, and more! We encourage you to arrive before your registered time or plan to stay after to fully enjoy all the festivities.

Registration is required.

The event starts at 5:00 PM, but you must enter the egg hunt at your registered time.
