🎣 Dexter’s gone fishing.

Our sneaky elf has cast his line in our aquarium-themed hallway, hoping to catch a few fin-tastic friends. It looks like Dexter has officially traded the North Pole for a fishing pole!

This is Dexter’s final antic of the year as he spends the next few days preparing for Christmas. But knowing Dexter… this probably isn’t the last we’ve seen of him. He may have one more surprise up his sleeve after Christmas!🎄

Dexter and his wild antics have done it again! We found him today throwing a full-blown dance party with a crew of baby dinosaurs! Tiny feet were stomping, tails were swaying, and Dexter’s holiday spirit was off the charts. 🦕🦖

It seems this Elf knows how to turn any room into a festive dance floor… and the dinos are clearly ready for an encore! 🪩 🎄

Guess who is stepping onto the DTC Lip-Sync stage for the very first time?🎤

Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce is officially joining the fun as a first-time competitor in DTC’s 10th Annual Local Celebrity Lip-Sync Battle, and they are coming in strong with an all-female team ready to light up the stage. Their goal is simple. Have fun, show up big, and show just how much pride they have in our community.

For more than 130 years, the Chamber has been the region’s leading business advocate and a key partner in economic development, working behind the scenes to connect people, places, and resources across Cabell and Wayne counties.

One thing we know for sure is that when the Chamber commits to something, they bring their heart, energy, and passion with them. That is exactly why we cannot wait to see what they bring to the Lip-Sync stage. This performance is going to be one to remember.

Dexter decided it was time for a little downtime! Today, he took over one of our offices, kicked back, and turned it into his own private movie theater.

With a big screen playing and popcorn scattered all around, it looks like he’s fully embracing movie day at DTC. 🎬🍿

Looks like Dexter decided it was cleaning day!

Our Elf on the Shelf was spotted in the sink attempting to wash toy cars, but things quickly got out of hand as bubbles overflowed everywhere. Turns out marshmallows make a very bubbly mess. 🫧🛻

DTC’s patient & family Christmas celebration, Santa Strikes, yesterday was pure holiday joy! 🎄🎳 We spent the evening bowling at Strike Zone, sharing pizza and snacks, laughing together, and capturing memories with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Most importantly, we celebrated the incredible milestones our patients have achieved this year, moments that continue to inspire us.

They rescue with heart. They advocate with purpose. And now, they are stepping into the spotlight! 🐎🔥

Please welcome Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue, INC to the stage as they make their debut in our 10th Annual Local Celebrity Lip-Sync Battle. Representing our local advocacy category, Heart of Phoenix is the largest and most effective equine advocacy organization in West Virginia, with a reach that spans Appalachia.

We have already seen their lip-sync skills take off in a popular YouTube video singing “Country Roads”, and while this is their first appearance on the DTC stage, we know they are bringing confidence, charisma, and a serious competitive edge. Our other competitors might want to take note!

Heart of Phoenix was founded in West Virginia at a time when no other organization existed to come to the aid of horses, realizing how important it was to expand the reach of rescue throughout Appalachia. Their team cares deeply about horses, awareness, and education. The work they do is powerful, and we are excited to see Heart of Phoenix grow their advocacy in a whole new way through the Lip-Sync Battle.

There’s still time to make a difference this tax year!

Developmental Therapy Center currently has $13,200 in Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP) tax credits available, offering a meaningful opportunity to support children and adults in our community who rely on our vital therapy services.

Individuals and businesses that contribute $500 or more to Developmental Therapy Center are eligible to receive up to 50% of their donation back in West Virginia state tax credits, making this one of the most impactful and thoughtful ways to give while also receiving a tangible benefit during tax season.

NIP credits are limited, and the deadline to qualify for the 2025 tax year is quickly approaching. Your generosity today helps ensure continued access to occupational, speech-language, and physical therapy services for local children and adults who depend on us to grow, gain independence, and thrive.
