This Leadership Friday, we recognize the leader of our Blood Glucose Screenings service, Rachael Bare!
Rachael is first-year medical student who has spent months managing, developing, and improving our glucose screening station. When asked what MMO means to her, this is what she had to say:
“MMO has given me the chance to put what I’ve learned in class to practice and meaningfully contribute to improving community health. Knowing that I can help our patients learn about, manage, and receive care for their health conditions makes the effort of medical school worth it, and has shown me how much our work means to local community health initiatives. If there’s one way to make a difference in healthcare as a medical student, it’s through projects like MMO that help the most medically underserved populations in your area.”
We’re grateful for the time and effort Rachael has put into MMO, and we’re happy to have someone invested in the community every month. Come join Rachael and the rest of the team tomorrow for another weekend of free services!
