Yesterday, our student volunteers came together and hosted our free community healthcare clinic in Huntington! Together, we provided 45 patients with primary care services and screenings, including:

- 36 Eye Tests 👁️
- 6 Health Department Visits for Vaccination/STD Testing
- 13 Primary Care Work-ups 🩺
- 18 Blood Glucose Checks 🩸
- 10 Cancer Screenings 🩻

We’re very proud of the time, hard work, and dedication our volunteers put into running this clinic for the community. We also want to give a special thanks to our PA students and graduate students that volunteered this month; we couldn’t do it without them.

As always, thank you to everyone who supports and spreads MMO to the people who need it. We look forward to seeing everybody in April!

Leadership Friday 🌟: This Friday, we’re highlighting the newest physicians who will help manage MMO: Dr. Gary Cremeans and Dr. Adam Franks!

With decades of experience practicing medicine at Marshall, our physicians bring an expertise in West Virginia healthcare that will continue to facilitate the care we provide. We are incredibly grateful for the help and guidance they will provide as we continue to grow our reach and services.

Reminder: Our next clinic is tomorrow at 9:00am! Join us for another weekend of free services provided by Marshall and organizations in the community.

Set-up: 8:00 a.m.
Clinic Start: 9:00 a.m.

Join us this weekend for free medical services provided by our Marshall students and community leaders! Our clinic is open and available to everyone; no insurance, no appointment, no problem! We’ll be offering our usual services, including:

• Primary medical care & screenings
• Prescription Eye Glasses
• Blood pressure & glucose checks
• Mental health services
• Physical therapy services
• Oral Health services
• Health Department Screenings
• ECCC Preventative Screenings Sign-Up
• Health education & referrals
• OTC medications
• Clothing and hygiene items

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to unforeseen circumstances, our refraction clinic scheduled for tomorrow (3/3/26) has been postponed. The next refraction clinic is scheduled for 3/17/26; anyone who was seen at the February outreach event will not need to return to the March outreach event to be seen.

We are terribly sorry for any inconvenience, and we are working hard to prevent any future sudden cancellations. Thank you for your patience and understanding. 💚

Yesterday, our outreach team provided services to over 60 patients at our community clinic! Thanks to our student volunteers and community leaders, we were able to provide:

- 50 patients with eye exams 👁️
- 23 patients with health department services 🏥
- 20+ blood-glucose tests🩸
- 12 patients with primary care treatment 🩺

It’s an honor and a privilege to give back to the city that continues to elevate and support us in this journey. We’d like to thank everyone who volunteers, donates, and spreads the word of our outreach program. You are the foundation of our mission, and we couldn’t do this without you. 💚

This Leadership Friday is spotlighting the incoming core leadership team for the coming year!

Brad, David, Sydney, and Ethan have been helping serve the community with MMO for the last 3 years. Each of them has experience leading outreach program stations, and they will take over core leadership duties in the coming months.

Our current leadership team will help guide them into their new roles going forward, and this new group of students is incredibly appreciative of their assistance and their faith in them to continue the outreach program. The incoming team looks forward to continuing the hard work and dedication Will, Jake, Kara, and Claire have poured into this project over the last year.

We look forward to seeing how much the program grows under the new leadership team, and we appreciate all the help the community gives us as we start opening our 2026 clinics. 💚

After last month’s cancellation due to the weather, the team is eager to get back out into the community! We’re also pleased to announce the return of the highly requested refraction clinic, where our patrons can have their prescriptions determined and get glasses to match! No insurance necessary and no appointment required; just come down to the clinic and we’ll get you squared away.

We’ll also be offering our other usual services, including:
• Primary medical care & screenings
• Prescription Eye Glasses
• Blood pressure & glucose checks
• OTC Medications
• Mental health services
• Physical therapy services

We want to take a moment to highlight two incredible local resources serving our community year-round: The Hub (The Huntington Homeless Services Hub - The Hub) and the Huntington City Mission (Huntington City Mission). Both organizations provide essential services, including heat, shelter, meals, and supplies.

If you are able to donate, both organizations welcome contributions, with their greatest needs currently being socks, underwear, food, and warm clothing.

All donations can be dropped off at the Linda Holmes Wellness Center

Yesterday over 50 volunteers came together in the cold for our final MMO of the year!

In recap, our morning clinic saw 15 patients, providing multiple vaccines, HIV testing, and Narcan kits (thanks to ). We also scheduled 3 lung cancer screenings and 3 mammograms (thanks to ), and helped stabilize a mental health issue with connections to housing, food, and phone services.

We want to shoutout who prepared a ton of fun holiday gift bags! Bags were funded by and Dr. Jen Sparks.

Thank you to all volunteers! See you in 2026!
