It was a delight to take a break from Northern Michigan’s long winter to attend the Natural Foods Expo in Anaheim, California. One thing became clear while there - people are paying closer attention to what goes into the things they buy. More are choosing foods and personal care items made with simple, natural ingredients, and big brands are feeling the pressure to adapt or risk being left behind. Seeing this shift is hopeful!

After the event, we had just enough time to drive along the Pacific Coast Highway and take a walk by the ocean. So beautiful and grounding after such a big event with so many people🌞

I came home feeling inspired, recharged, and full of new ideas and tools to continue building and growing my small herbal business🌺

• Grain-Free • Wild Bergamot & Orange Pistachio Cake

All these flavors pair so well together, and a slice goes perfectly with morning coffee. The sweetness of the orange with the gentle spice of bergamot were made for each other. Samson keeping company in the kitchen while baking always makes the whole process more fun 🐈

The Wild bergamot (Monarda fistulosa), also known as bee balm or wild oregano, was harvested in Northern Michigan and infused into raw honey used to sweeten the cake. Along with being delicious, it’s also a wonderful plant ally traditionally used as a mucolytic for colds and congestion, supportive for digestion, antiseptic for infections and wound care, and a calming nervine to help relax the nervous system.

Please send a DM if you’d like to
order one of these for yourself 💜

Heart Revolution Elixir 🌹

Crafting an uplifting, grounding and heart-centering blend of cacao, rose, and reishi to ignite love as a gentle revolution within and all around us.

Notes : Experimented with flaxseed milk for the base that was surprisingly quick and easy to make, and woodland roses for the garnish that was wild harvested up in the UP.

Send a message if you would like to purchase this blend for yourself.

Solstice Blessings and a Happy New Year from 🌿

May you find peace in the promise of the solstice night. That each day forward is blessed with more light. That the cycle of nature, unbroken and true, Brings faith to your soul and well-being to you. Rejoice in the darkness, in the silence find rest, And may the days that follow be abundantly blessed.

- A Winter Solstice blessing, author unknown

Our Story

Amy Elizabeth White is the artist behind Sister 2 Sister Henna.

Originally a photographer from Michigan, her passion for the art was discovered after moving to Brooklyn, New York. Never looking back, she has been creating henna designs ancient & new with love since 2015.

With an eye on traditional technique & design, and an emphasis on detail, her original work harmonizes with each client. For her, henna is a way to honor self and adorn the body.

Amy has had the opportunity to offer henna for many diverse occasions all over the country - bridal henna, private parties, corporate events, festivals, markets, celebrations and more. She also holds workshops and creates henna inspired fine art, wearable art and dessert decoration.
