Monday Introductions. Some of ya’ll are new here, so WELCOME! Let me start by introducing myself with my top 7...
#1) Hi! My name is Alicia Mincher and my Husband Josh and I are owners of Easter Rising Farm. We focus on Grass Fed Beef, Free Range Chickens for Meat and Eggs, Pastured Pigs, and Grass Fed Sheep. And recently we added Field to Vase Flowers & Sourdough Bread. Our farm is tucked in the southeast corner of small town USA -Friendship Indiana.
#2) Our small family farm focuses on providing healthy, farm raised organic meat for our customers. We love what we do, and have been around for almost 2 decades. It is important to us to know our customers so we can offer you quality meat straight from the farm to your table- just the way God intended it to be.
#3) After Josh’s Dad Gary retired from the US Air force he was looking for a place to settle down and provide a way for his family to work together. His Dad was a farmer, so he felt drawn to this lifestyle. One reason why he chose this area was because it was a farming community and this farm has been a continuously operating working family farm since 1910- and he planned to keep it that way!
#4) We are passionate about giving our customers the tried and true way of eating “off the farm” without having to do the raising yourself. Josh’s Mother, Nona, was also into beautifying the farm with her rose gardens and peony beds. Between this and the heartwarming meals she cooked, I have taken on passing along these simple joys of family life too, and I hope to provide these for you as well.
#5) Here is where I will share daily our farms up’s and down’s. Farm life isn’t always romantic, but as the quote that was always next to Nona’s kitchen sink read “life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.”
#6) Outside of work, Josh and I are raising 7 children. With that said, I am a coffee ju**ie, and my favorite past time is sitting outside on my front porch. If you know me, I am always up for either of those which allow me to take time to enjoy this beautiful, messy life.
#7) I would love to hear from you! Have you ever bought anything straight off the farm? What is your #1 meat of choice? I’d love to connect with you so that I can serve you better. Drop a comment below and say hi!
