What actually happens during a sports physical?

Today my son helped me demonstrate a quick sports physical exam — because a lot of families aren’t sure what to expect.

In Indiana, student athletes must have a completed sports physical every school year before participating in school sports under Indiana High School Athletic Association guidelines.

During a sports physical we check things like:

✔ Heart and lung health
✔ Blood pressure
✔ Previous injuries
✔ Concussion history
✔ Growth and development

It’s a simple visit, but an important one to help keep young athletes safe and ready to play.

And yes… sometimes kids help mom make a demo video 😅
