If you have been looking for a sisthood of birthworkers of all backgrounds, consider joining IMBC. We are rooted in supporting, uplifting, and building our BIPOC birthworkers here in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. We also believe in having some fun!

One perk of membership is the group outings. These are to encourage members to get to know one another, relax, and to share laughs! Birthworker is a labor of love and, and sometimes, we just need to have some fun.

We are a collective of BIPOC doulas and birthworkers created with you in mind and ready to grow! Applications are NOW OPEN THROUGH MAY 3RD! Consider applying if you meet the following criteria:

☆ Must live in Greater Indianapolis area
☆ Trained or Certified BIPOC Doula (completed in-person or virtual training and course work, not including shadow work or births)
☆ Active birth worker for at least 1 year, or have supported at least 1 client

It's World Birth Worker Week! 🎉

We are the hands that comfort without needing recognition.

This is the work that often goes unseen but changes everything. From birth to postpartum, birth workers are there holding space, offering reassurance, and honoring each family’s experience in a way that feels safe and deeply human.

This kind of care matters. This kind of care deserves to be seen and celebrated!
