As a boy growing up in a tiny house during the Depression, Sidney Eskenazi scrambled to help his family pay the bills. He sold shoes, filled candy machines, cleaned toilets at Indianapolis parks and washed bags of potatoes at his father's produce business.

This time last year, we were fighting through the rain to get ready for The New Wishard Groundbreaking. Mayor Greg Ballard, IU President Michael McRobbie, State Representatives Bill Crawford and Greg Porter, Councillor Barbara Malone, IU School of Med. Dean D. Craig Brater and hundreds more joined us to turn shovels of dirt and commemorate the birth of a new Wishard and a new future for health care in Indianapolis!
