So much to LOVE about these Mushroom Melt Sandwiches.

Not only are they so easy, so quick and so full of flavor - making them perfect for a deliciously savory and super fast lunch or dinner, but they're literally bursting at the seems with meaty mushrooms and THREE types of gooey melty cheese. My kind of delicious!

🤩Very obsessed with this super easy meal. Shrimp are tossed in a quick marinade of chili crisp, sesame oil and coconut aminos before getting seared in a hot skillet. And they’re served over a pile of rice and a simple broccoli slaw with sesame vinaigrette and then topped with a spoonful of chili crisp for extra fiery flare.🔥

Not only are these bowls incredibly tasty, but there's minimal prep work to be done. A pre-chopped bag of slaw and microwavable rice save a ton of time, so it all comes together in just 15 minutes - making it perfect for weeknight cooking!

Have you every gone a little too hard on pizza night to the point of feeling overly full?🍕

Or had a hard time putting the brake pedal on when eating ice cream to where you felt a loss of control?🍦

🍫Overeating and binge eating can leave you in a pretty uncomfortable state, both physically and mentally. And it's really hard to move on when your inner bully only gets louder and louder. Taking your further down the shame spiral🙇‍♀️

Part of learning how to have a peaceful relationship with food 🍪🍓and heal from binge eating/have less overeating experiences is to get to the root cause of the eating experiences and to learn what you can do to care for the mental and physical discomfort all so you can move on with your life instead of getting sucked into that spiral. 🌀

🔑Creating UNCONDITIONAL permission to eat is KEY in feeling neutral around food so you can truly be able to find attunement with your body's needs and satisfaction.

💭Have you ever wondered why you feel out of control around food if you feel like you don't restrict?

🍔There's a big difference between unconditional and conditional permission to eat. To break free from restriction, unconditional permission is essential.

🍦When you have the freedom to eat unconditionally while listening to your body's cues, you can eat as much as you need to satisfy your body.

🍕If you allow yourself to eat foods but there are strings attached, you may continue feeling out of control around food.

Not an actual stat, but I think we all know the truth😏

There are many ways in which restriction and demonizing food causes harm to physical and mental health. And when it comes to emotional well-being eating in a way that relies on external rules - like "I shouldn't eat carbs" - robs you of the ability to feel happiness around food and to find the joy in eating.

Why is finding joy in eating so important? Simply put and as Ellyn Satter said, “when the joy goes out of eating, nutrition suffers.”

Eating has always meant to be enjoyed, to be pleasurable and to be satisfying. Somewhere along the way, the simple joys were lost.

Food is meant to be enjoyed. Whether it be eating watermelon or an ice cream cone on a hot summer day, or a comforting bowl of soup or a nostalgic grilled cheese sandwich when its cold and stormy outside.

Make today the day you decide to start letting go of food guilt so you can bring back the joy in eating.
